CNC Turner (Programmer, Setter, Operator)

We are looking for a CNC TURNER (PROGRAMMER, SETTER, OPERATOR) to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a CNC Turner to join an extremely well established global and market leader manufacturing company who have a thriving and extremely healthy order book.

Your duties as a CNC Turner will include but are not limited to.

  • Programming, setting, and operating, XYZ machines and manual machines.
  • Siemens controls
  • Ability to write and edit programs would be an advantage.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Meet production deadlines ensuring that the appropriate checks have been carried out and work to ISO9001 standard.
  • Manage time and machines efficiently.
  • Work to machining tolerances ensuring that the completed is checked against the required specifications.
  • Must possess manual skills for repair work.

Essential skills and competencies:

  • Time served Operator and having at least 3 years’ experience.
  • A good understanding of best manufacturing processes is essential.
  • Work under their own initiative forward thinking and proactive, tidy.
  • Work well individually and with our team.
  • Programming experience is essential.

Salary: £17.34 per hour // £35,159.28

 

Quality Manager

We are looking for an experienced and driven Quality Manager to join our team at iCAM Engineering Limited.  As a Quality Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and customer satisfaction.  You will be responsible for overseeing and optimising our quality management processes while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management System (QMS): Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System in line with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, etc.).
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and supervise quality assurance processes, including inspection protocols, product testing, and non-conformance resolution, to uphold product quality.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and guide our established team of professionals, setting clear objectives and providing mentorship to ensure they meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure our company adheres to industry regulations and standards, staying current with changes and making necessary adjustments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation, identifying areas for enhancement and executing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Supplier Quality: Collaborate with suppliers to maintain and enhance the quality of incoming materials and components.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse quality data, encompassing product performance metrics and customer feedback, to detect trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Auditing: Conduct internal and external quality audits to validate compliance with quality standards and uncover areas for enhancement.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation related to quality processes, procedures, and records.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate closely with the customer service and sales teams to address customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in quality management within a relevant industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on root cause analysis.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Certified Quality Manager) are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and technologies.
