Overview – Prep
This job role plays a highly needed specific requirement to ensure that the bubbler is conditioned and analysed to meet the customers’ needs when using the vessel.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Processing new and recycled vessels conforming to the procedures.
- Assembly of vessels to CAD drawings and customers’ requirements.
- Helium Leak Testing new and recycled vessels before conditioning.
- Conditioning bubblers to a high standard using a Vac and Purge system.
- Logging bubbler conditioning information and producing certificates.
- Tamper proofing conditioned vessels after requirements are met.
- Monitoring the usage/changing Nitrogen and Helium gas bottles.
- Stock control of Nitrogen/Helium gas bottles.
- Deliver technical support, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to ICAM equipment, ensuring our customer’s expectations are exceeded.
- Ability to work unsupervised within dynamic and diverse production environments.
- Assisting in the Finishing department as and where needed to the company’s needs
Overview – Inspection
The Inspection department is responsible for the final Inspection of each container made here at iCAM.
The Inspector performs the final checks on a product to ensure customer requirements are met. Success in this position would be achieved if the product is of a high standard.
The Inspector has a key role within the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS), they provide the final checks before the product enters service and is therefore responsible for safeguarding the company’s reputation.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Visually check final product configuration and specification against CAD drawing and job sheet.
- Measure and record critical dimensions, checking against drawing nominal values and tolerances.
- The use of a CMM to inspect components/bubblers to meet customer specifications and tolerances.
- The use of a borescope for the internal checks of bubblers to ensure welds are penetrated and clean.
- Identify and assess defects/discrepancies to establish the most suitable corrective action.
- Re-align (if needed) components where appropriate to bring back within tolerance.
- Raise quality concerns that are highlighted during the Inspection process.
- Ability to work unsupervised within dynamic and diverse production environments.
- Assisting in the Finishing department as and where needed to the company’s needs.
Qualifications
Education Level – College Math’s and English.
Experience – Inspection/Manufacturing experience needed.
Specific skills –
- Computer literate in MS Office.
- The ability to use engineering measuring equipment (height gauges, digital vernier callipers etc)
- CMM training would be a big advantage, however not essential as in-house training will be provided.
- NDT Certified – an advantage but not essential.

- Confident in the ability to use the equipment and tools.
- Able to lift heavy vessels ranging between 0-25KG, repeatedly.
